The Batman costume is very similar to the bat costume. After all, this is the man-bat. This costume is beautiful, elegant, your little one can wear it both for the New Year and for the summer carnival. It is suitable for both role-playing games and staging games. An adult costume is made according to the same principle as a child's one.

- -black gouache;
- - varnish;
- -the pattern of the hood;
- - linen elastic band;
- -glue;
- -sewing machine;
- - threads, needles, paints, brushes.
Instructions
Step 1
The costume consists of two parts - a mask and a cloak. Black pants are also needed, but you will surely find them in the nearest store or even in your closet. Take an old black umbrella for your raincoat. Remove the handle and knitting needles from it. Cut off the top of the umbrella. Make the hole so that you get a neckline.
Step 2
Cut from the neck to the length of the zipper. The head should fit freely into the hole. Fold up the edges of the incision 0.5 cm. Baste and stitch on the zipper. Treat the neck with a bias tape.
Step 3
Sew the hat according to the pattern of any hood. In addition, a work clothing store may have a hood that workers in some occupations wear under their helmets. It just needs to be sewn in size. If nothing of the kind is at hand, draw the pattern yourself. Measure your head. You need two measurements - the half-girth of the head and the height from shoulder to crown. Draw a rectangle. Determine where the front will be. Leave it as it is. At the back, bevel the upper corner with an arc.
Step 4
Cut out 2 hood pieces. Fold right sides together, stitch and press back seam. Fold the rest of the sides to the wrong side twice and hem. You can sew on a strip of fabric from the seamy side at the level of the throat and make a drawstring for elastic or strings. But you can not do this, since the bottom of the hood will be tucked under the neck of the raincoat.
Step 5
Cut a mask out of the cardboard. In principle, it is no different from any other wide carnival mask. Draw a straight line equal to the width of the forehead. Continue its edges by another 8-19 cm. Divide the line in half and lower down the perpendicular, the length of which is equal to the height of the forehead plus half of the bridge of the nose. From the ends of the original straight line, also lower the perpendiculars slightly shorter than the middle one down. Connect the end of the middle perpendicular to the ends of the side ones. Mark the places for the eyes, draw horizontal ovals. Cut out the mask.
Step 6
Make the ears. They are just 2 long diamonds from the same cardboard. Bend them slightly along the long diagonal. If the cardboard is not very thick, make them double.
Step 7
Roll the mask into a tube so that it acquires the desired bend. Glue or sew on the ears to the sides. Attach an elastic band. It can be glued to the seamy side of the mask, and the place of gluing can be reinforced with cardboard circles or squares. You can also use scotch tape. Try on the mask and resize.
Step 8
Prime the mask with water-based paint. Cover it with black gouache, then varnish. It is best to dry it in a large jar so that it retains its curve.
