Step 1
With a family tree, you can recreate your family's story and tell your children about it. Use a large piece of thick paper or Whatman paper to draw a family tree. You will also need markers, scissors, glue, colored and design paper. Such a colorful tree will delight the eye, and your children will be happy to join the process of family creativity.
Step 2
Take pencils and draw on a piece of Whatman paper a tall, spreading tree with many branches. Cut out leaves of a tree from green colored paper, the number of which coincides with the number of members of your family, including close relatives and ancestors that you know.
Step 3
Beautifully write with a bright felt-tip pen the name of a relative or family member on each piece of paper, add the date of birth and the type of relationship (grandmother, grandfather, aunt, uncle, sister). Mark the city where the relative lives, his profession, whether he has children. If there is too much information, write it on a separate piece of paper and attach it to the main piece of paper with the person's name.
Step 4
Do not stick the leaves on the tree randomly, but in a certain sequence. At the very bottom, glue a piece of paper with the name of your child, who is the youngest member of the family. If there are brothers and sisters, draw branches from the first name to the sides.
Step 5
Then, just above, glue the leaves with the names of the child's mom and dad, and then their brothers and sisters, parents, grandparents. Designate family ties in an ascending line, branching the family tree from bottom to top.
Step 6
Place relatives on the mother's side on one side of the tree, and on the father's line on the other. Place each generation at the same level. Glue a small photo of a family member on each piece of paper, and the family tree will become a beautiful and memorable item for your home.
