It is necessary

  • - cutting board
  • - white primer
  • - acrylic paints
  • - napkin for decoupage with cockerel
  • - PVA glue
  • - water
  • - acrylic paints
  • - brushes
  • - acrylic lacquer
  • - natural twine

Instructions

Step 1

A cutting board made using decoupage technique with a cheerful rooster will serve not only as a bright decoration for the kitchen, but also as a wonderful gift for any occasion. For this you will need napkins with a cockerel. However, you can choose napkins with any image.

Step 2

To decorate the board, apply a white primer to it. Let's wait until it dries. Take the topmost layer from the decoupage napkin. We dilute PVA glue with water (50/50) and pour a little on the file. Place the napkin on the file, smooth out the wrinkles and transfer to the board. Let's wait until it is completely dry.

Step 3

Apply acrylic varnish to the board. Then we outline the inscriptions with a contour. We paint the cockerel with acrylic paints to make it brighter. You can decorate cutting boards with the effect of artificial aging. To do this, paint both sides of the board with light yellow paint. Apply one-step craquelure varnish to light yellow paint. When it sticks to your hand quite a bit, add white acrylic paint with a brush. The main thing is not to paint with paint twice in one place. Otherwise, the paint will roll off.

Step 4

Apply acrylic paint with a sponge to all the edges of the board. After the paint is dry, cover the board with acrylic varnish. You can decorate cutting boards using decoupage technique with additional decorative elements: bows, cords, braid, lace.

Step 5

To decorate the cutting board with our own hands, we will tie it with raffia to match the pattern and glue a bow made of natural twine. If you have natural lace, it can be glued instead of raffia.
