To fully experience the approaching New Year and feel the fabulous spirit of the winter holidays, start preparing for them now. A small Christmas tree made by hand from wooden branches will surely delight you and your friends.
It is necessary
- - dry branches;
- - knife or hand saw;
- - sandpaper;
- - drill;
- - lace or tape;
- - acrylic paints.
Instructions
Step 1
Collect medium-sized dry twigs from the park, one of which should be thicker. Look for the straightest branches and cut off the side branches from them. Using a hand saw or knife, cut the rods into six pieces of different lengths, which should gradually increase from the longest (10-15 cm) to the shortest (1.5-2 cm). Cut the thickest branch into neat rings.
Step 2
Make a "fitting". Fold a herringbone out of the twigs to make sure the length is correct. To do this, place the branches one above the other, so that the longest is at the base, and the shortest at the top. Place pieces of wood cut into rings between the twigs. Thus, you can evaluate how the finished craft will look like. If the levels of the tree differ too much in length, cut off any excess.
Step 3
Find the center of gravity of each of the branches and mark it with a pencil. Use a drill to drill small holes in the center of each of the rods. Drill carefully at low RPM to prevent branches from breaking. You also need rings. After that, sandpaper each of the parts of the craft.
Step 4
String all the details on a fishing line or thin satin ribbon in the order in which you placed all the branches on the fitting. If the lace you wanted to use turns out to be too thick, try widening the holes a little with a drill, but be careful not to overdo it. Make a loop on top so that the finished decoration can be fashionably hung on the wall.
Step 5
The Christmas tree is almost ready. Connoisseurs of natural materials and wood texture can cover the decoration with a layer of transparent varnish. To make your craft more vibrant and festive, paint it with acrylics for painting on wood, which you can buy at any art store. The finished Christmas tree can be hung on the tree among other Christmas toys.
