With the New Year and Christmas approaching, I want to create the atmosphere of a winter fairy tale at home. The traditional symbols of winter and the New Year are white snowflakes, silvery frost, thin icicles, fluffy snowdrifts and, of course, a beautiful Christmas tree decorated with beads, lights and toys. But what if you turn your New Year's table into a forest of ornate cardboard trees? By placing several of these crafts between dishes and glasses, you will undoubtedly feel yourself in the epicenter of a fabulous New Year's Eve.
It is necessary
- - a sheet of paper, pencil;
- - colored or white cardboard;
- - wrapping paper / old newspapers, magazines;
- - decorative materials for decorating crafts;
- - glue;
- - scissors.
Instructions
Step 1
Determine the size of the craft you need, considering that it will decorate the New Year's table and should not interfere with your seeing your loved ones. Come up with and draw a half of the future Christmas tree on a sheet of paper folded in half. It is best to make it in a simplified form, without a lot of small details. However, you can experiment with the openwork edges of the branches.
Step 2
Mark on the workpiece the middle on the side where the fold of the paper passes (the central axis of the tree). You will be guided by this point by making cuts on the details of the craft. Cut out a tree and unfold it.
Step 3
Take cardboard that is not too thick in any suitable color. On the one hand, smear it with a glue stick and glue interesting wrapping paper on it (you can use any leftovers that you have at home), or pages of old newspapers, magazines, unnecessary books.
Step 4
Trace the outline of the Christmas tree pattern twice on the cardboard. Be sure to mark the control point in the middle. Cut out the trees and cut one from the bottom to the center mark and the other from the top to the mark.
Step 5
Decorate each half of the craft on both sides. Glue stars, hearts or other New Year's motifs out of shiny foil or colored paper (cardboard). You can also decorate the Christmas tree with rhinestones, buttons, coins, beads, etc. or paint it with shiny gel. An interesting effect will be obtained if you pierce the ends of the branches of the Christmas tree and insert "pendants" such as beads on strings or wires into the holes.
Step 6
Now insert the halves of the craft perpendicular to each other, one into the other using special cuts. The herringbone details are securely fastened in a crisscross pattern, making the whole structure completely stable.
