It is necessary

  • - A4 paper;
  • - a decoupage card with a beautiful pattern;
  • - a set of thin bamboo skewers;
  • - transparent superglue;
  • - plywood 3-4 mm thick;
  • - decorative braid;
  • - scissors;
  • - wire cutters.

Instructions

Step 1

On a sheet of white paper, draw with a pencil the outline of the future fan, which has an egg-shaped rounded shape. Using scissors, cut out the contour of the fan in duplicate so that you have two pieces of paper.

Step 2

Fold them evenly in half to create a longitudinal fold line. Now take a pre-selected decoupage card and cut out exactly the same two parts from it. If you do not have a decoupage card, you can use fine, beautifully colored designer paper or patterned napkins.

Step 3

Now place one of the rough parts of the future fan in front of you and grease it with glue. Focusing on the center vertical fold, place the fan-shaped wooden sticks on the glue, directing the sharp ends down towards the base of the workpiece.

Step 4

Now grease the second piece of paper with glue and place it on top of the piece with glued sticks, and on top place any heavy object instead of a press. After twenty minutes, remove the workpiece from under the press, take the nippers and cut off the protruding ends of the sticks along the contour of the fan. Now take the parts cut from decorative paper and glue them on both sides of the blank.

Step 5

On a sheet of plywood, use a pencil to draw the outlines of the fan handle, and then use a jigsaw or a hacksaw to cut two identical pieces along the outline. Sand the parts with sandpaper, and then place the base of your fan in the upper gap between the two parts, glueing the parts of the handle and the base of the fan together.

Step 6

You can pre-treat the handle with wood stain or wrap it with a beautiful cord. Cover the side edges of the fan with decorative tape, and place the handle in a clamp overnight to fix it and dry the glue.
