A collage of several photographs, united by a common theme and general mood, and placed on an original and beautiful background, attracts much more attention than individual photographs. You can make a collage as a birthday present for a friend or relative, decorate a family album, or publish the collage on the Internet. Creating a photo collage is not difficult if you have Adobe Photoshop.
Instructions
Step 1
Open a few photos in Photoshop that you want to put into the collage. Prepare the images - for each of them apply the Sharpen filter by choosing it from the Filter menu. Create a new layer and select a rectangular piece on a new layer using the Rectangular marquee tool.
Step 2
Fill the selection with the fill tool, choosing a suitable color. Then merge the previous layers with a new layer, and after that open the Edit menu and select the Free Transform option to reshape your photos.
Step 3
Select the Warp tool to reshape and adjust the lines and dots in the photos to give them a suitable shape - for example, the shape of a waving flag. Modify all photos in this way.
Step 4
Now pick a suitable texture to decorate your collage and open it in Photoshop. Place the texture layer under the previous photo layers. Create a new layer on top of all layers and fill it with a new color.
Step 5
Set the Blending Mode of the layers to Multiply with 69% Opacity. Now select the brush from the toolbar and customize it by setting the Shape Dynamics parameters to Pen Pressure and Scattering. Set the Spacing to 194%.
Step 6
Set the brush size to 25 pixels. You can make the brush softer by changing its opacity. Create a new layer above the texture and use the brush to create decorative patterns around the photos. Using a brush with a different texture, draw some freeform lines around the photos.
Step 7
Additionally, you can insert a decorative element into the collage - for example, a flower or any other fragment of a picture or photograph. Complete the collage with lettering.
