What Star Wars fan has never dreamed of owning his own lightsaber to get closer to the heroes of his favorite movie? Such a sword is the cherished dream of every Star Wars fan, and despite the fact that a real laser sword is a fantasy, you can make an analogue of a lightsaber at home from scrap materials that will help you in role-playing games and costume parties, and will also be a worthy element of your home collection.
Instructions
Step 1
Find the parts from which you will assemble the sword - you will need a colored fluorescent lamp, the color of which should match your wishes, as well as a current converter from 12V to 220V, a metal flashlight and a 12-watt battery.
Step 2
Disassemble the metal flashlight and remove all internal parts from it. Take a soldering iron and solder a 15 cm long wire to one pair of lamp leads. Solder an enameled wire 1.5 m long and 0.2 mm in diameter to the second pair of leads.
Step 3
Place the enamelled wire into the fluorescent lamp housing and secure it from the inside with transparent adhesive tape. Using a choke and a starter, assemble the lamp connection diagram and connect the lamp, converter and battery to it.
Step 4
Check if the lamp will light up after your manipulations. If done correctly, the fluorescent lamp should be on.
Step 5
Insulate the wires with which you connected all the details of the future lightsaber to the circuit, assemble the finished structure - and after that you can feel like a character in a fantastic stellar universe.
Step 6
Of course, a lightsaber can be purchased from a store or ordered online, but a self-made sword will be a memorable and expensive item for you, in which you have invested time and effort. It will work properly for a long time.
