Instructions
Step 1
First, let's decide what exactly we will impose. For example, this is a wood texture
Step 2
Take the Pen tool and draw a circle around the desired part of the photo. In this case, it's a swimsuit.

Create a new layer (Ctrl + Shift + N) and paste our texture into it.
Step 4
Right-click the space outlined with the pen and choose "Make Selection" with a parameter of 1px.
Step 5
Invert the selection with Ctrl + Shift + I and remove the excess from the texture layer.
Step 6
Now we need to change the blending parameters. Find the Overlay tab on the right side of the layers.

We put the cursor in the window, but do not open the tab and now scroll down until the optimal option is obtained.

This is how we applied a texture in Photoshop from a photo. But you can still apply a standard texture to the entire layer. To do this, double-click on the layer in the layers panel on the right and in the window that appears, go to the "Pattern Overlay" tab. Now you can change the texture size, opacity and blending options.
