Difficult childhood
Ruben Matsakovich Matevosyan was born on January 12, 1942 in an incomplete family. By this time, his father went to the front and died. The child grew up and was brought up by the closest relatives. There were always a lot of children in the house and little Ruben did not feel deprived of attention or a piece of matnakash. Mother had to work hard to bring home a loaf of bread. The boy demonstrated vocal and musical abilities from an early age.
At school, the future singer studied well. His favorite subject was literature. He always willingly participated in amateur art competitions. One of the first in the class to learn to play the duduk. Ruben attended classes of the ensemble of Armenian folk instruments. And not only attended, but tried to master the technique of performance. I wrote down and memorized the words of songs. In parallel with his studies at a general education school, he took a course at a music school.
Professional activity
Having received a certificate of maturity, Matevosyan entered the Faculty of Philology of Yerevan University. To speed up the learning process, at the same time he received specialized education at the vocal department of the local conservatory. Ruben's voice was unique in timbre. The certified singer came to work in the ensemble of folk instruments, which was created at the radio committee of Armenia. Two years later, the talented performer became the leader of the team.
Matevosyan's creative career developed consistently, without sharp ups and downs. The young leader not only carefully prepared the performers for the performances.
