With the help of beadwork, you can decorate a thing in any style - from ethnic to classic. It can be a very small pattern or a scattering over the entire surface. The most comfortable embroidery technique to choose depends on the end goal.
Instructions
Step 1
Select an embroidery pattern. It can be found in the bead embroidery kits and on websites dedicated to this type of needlework. To create decorative works on the canvas, cross-stitch patterns are quite suitable. One bead will correspond to each cross. If you want to decorate clothes, bags, accessories with embroidery, draw a sketch yourself. First, create a pattern without detailing - just define its shape, size and colors. Then break the pattern into separate beads, determine their desired size and quantity for each fragment. To make it easier, a sketch can be made on a notebook sheet - the cell will represent the bead.
Step 2
Buy beads in the shades you need. Consider the compatibility of its color with the color of the fabric on which you will be embroidering. This is especially true for translucent beads. Purchase material in large quantities, with a margin. Because when you come for a new portion, you may find that the desired type has been sold out or taken off the market.
Step 3
The embroidery threads must match the color of the fabric. Some use fishing line instead, but this option is only suitable for thick, hard material, thin material will puff up.
Step 4
Hoop the fabric over the hoop. You can attach the beads to the fabric using the most common seams - "needle forward", lowercase, stalked. They are suitable if you need to embroider a small area using separate beads of different colors. To speed up work on large areas, make long beaded threads. String 10-20 beads at once or more, depending on the size of the area to be embroidered. Lay the thread on the fabric and secure it with small stitches perpendicular to the main thread - every 2-3 beads.
Step 5
Additional volume can be added to the embroidered pattern. Pierce the fabric with a needle and thread, string a bead on it. Then put on a smaller bead, pass the thread back into the first bead, fasten on the seamy side. Such designs can be made from several "levels" and decorate individual parts of the thing with them or cover the entire area.
