Knowledge Day is a wonderful holiday when, after a three-month separation, you can meet with classmates and your favorite teachers, start learning new subjects, enroll in some kind of circle and do something interesting. Why not make a greeting card for this day? It can be drawn, including pencils.

What can you draw?

Certain symbols correspond to each holiday. It is they who are depicted in different combinations on postcards. For the New Year, they draw a Christmas tree, toys and Santa Claus with gifts, on March 8 - mimosa or snowdrops, on May 9 - St. George's ribbon and military equipment. September 1 also has its own symbols:

- book;

- the globe;

- Maple leaves:

- autumn flowers;

- children with portfolios;

- a computer with a curriculum on the screen;

- fabulous heroes who love to learn.

If you are making a postcard for the first time, choose a simple drawing. For example, you can draw a book against a branch with maple leaves. This is a traditional composition, understandable for both today's schoolchildren and their parents.

On old postcards from September 1, you can see children in Soviet school uniforms and desks. It is not worth drawing them, because now there is no uniform shape for all, and school furniture has changed a lot.

Let's start drawing

It is better to make a double postcard. Take a sheet of A4 paper and fold it in half. On the inside, you will then write a congratulation,. The work goes well faster if you do it in stages, so first of all on the outside, draw the contours of the future composition. Maple branches can be positioned as desired. In the middle of the composition, draw a thin pencil around the place for the book. Without going beyond these contours, draw several curved lines - future branches.

You can add several autumn colors to the composition - for example, asters.

Open book

Lay the card upright. Step back a little from the bottom edge, draw a straight line at some angle. The angle with the imaginary horizontal line is about 30 °, but it is certainly not worth measuring with a protractor. Mark the width of the book on this line. From the point that is closer to you, draw a perpendicular to this line and mark the length of the book on it. Draw parallel lines to the already drawn. You have a parallelepiped. From the point where you started drawing, draw a short vertical line upward. Mark the thickness of the book and from this point draw a second box, the same as the first. If you look at any thick hardcover book, then be sure to note that its spine is most often not straight, but rounded. Therefore, you also need to round it. The line that marks the cut of the pages can also be made arched. On the top surface of the cover, you can write a title - for example, "Primer".

Maple leaves

Start drawing the maple leaf in a straight line. Divide it in half, draw a perpendicular to one side towards the middle (for example, up). Divide the formed right angles approximately in half. At the ends of all the rays, draw arrows at about a 45 ° angle to the drawn line. Connect the ends of the segments with irregular arcs. Connect the ends of the segments of the lower arrows to the point of intersection of all lines with arcs, the convex parts of which are directed downward. Draw veins and twigs.
