Good day. Today I want to propose to sew an educational game for children. The game is sewn from felt, so sewing is not difficult.
The object of the game is to build the path of the car to the garage by turning the cards.
It is necessary
- To sew a toy, we need:
- • hard felt (1-1, 2 mm) in five colors (green, orange, beige, red, black).
- • threads to match felt;
- • a sheet of paper for building patterns;
- • scissors, ruler and compasses.
Instructions
Step 1
Preparing felt. Cut 15 squares out of green felt (5 by 5 cm). The sixteenth puzzle square will be orange felt.
Step 2
Cut out 17 squares from orange felt (5 by 5 cm).
Step 3
We draw a pattern for the tracks. We measure from the corner of the sheet of paper 2 cm to the right and 2 cm down. Then from these points one more centimeter to the right and down. We connect the measured points with a compass. We get a rounded track.
Step 4
Cut out a pattern for round paths. To cut straight paths, cut out a 5 by 1 cm rectangle from paper.
Step 5
8 rounded paths and 7 straight paths must be cut out of beige felt.
Step 6
Beige stripes are sewn to green felt squares. On the sewing machine we put a seam "straight line", stitch length 2, 3-3 mm. We sew with beige thread.
Step 7
Changing the threads in the sewing machine. The upper thread is green, the lower thread is orange. We fold the green square with the orange one and sew along the perimeter with a straight machine stitch. We don't sew on beige paths.
Step 8
A total of 15 squares turned out, on one side green with tracks, on the other side orange.
Step 9
Sew the sixteenth square from two halves of orange felt.
Step 10
To make a pattern for a typewriter, draw a circle with a compass with a diameter of 3.5 cm. Draw a typewriter from the circle, such as in the photo. Cut along the contour.
Step 11
We put the machine pattern on the red felt and cut two parts. Also for the car we cut out windows from beige felt and wheels from black.
Step 12
We sew windows and wheels to both sides of the machine with a straight machine stitch (seam length 1.5-2 mm). We fold the two parts inside out and sew together. Sew along the bottom of the machine, retreating from the top side of the wheel by 1 mm.
Step 13
To sew the garage, cut out one rectangle of orange felt (9 x 6 cm) from felt, and two of red felt (4 x 5 cm). The garage needs a latch latch. We draw a pattern on paper. Cut out the latch and two handles about 0.5 cm wide and 2 cm long.
Step 14
We attach the cut out parts of the lock to the doors and sew. We sew the doors themselves to the garage. We insert the latch.
Step 15
The game is ready.
