Nowadays, there are a lot of different directions of needlework. Products made from ordinary wire and nail polish are gradually gaining momentum. You can make a figurine in the shape of a heart, which will decorate the interior or become a wonderful gift for your soul mate, family or friends.

Master class: figurine

It is necessary

  • - The wire is thin and thick
  • - 4 colors nail polish
  • - Round brush or pencil
  • - Side cutters
  • - Dish sponges or backing from the store
  • - Glue moment
  • - Alabaster
  • - Fat cream
  • - The form in which the alabaster will need to be poured
  • - The spoon
  • - Brush or stick (to stir the alabaster)
  • - Polymer clay or something for decoration

Instructions

Step 1

I worked with a makeup brush. You can take anything (but round), for example: a pencil, felt-tip pen, pen, etc. Wrap a thin wire around the brush, holding the wire at the base, turn the brush several times (about 4). Cut off excess wire.

Step 2

Remove the wire from the brush. You should get a circle.

Step 3

Repeat from opposite side

Step 4

Make 2 more petals by analogy. And remove the wire from the brush. You should get a blank with 4 petals. The length of the stem is about 5-7 cm.

Step 5

Put the petal on the brush, pull the edge of the petal (pressing it against the brush) and give it an elongated shape. Repeat the same for the rest of the petals.

Step 6

Now it's the nail polish turn. It is better not to use gel polish, but to take a regular, inexpensive varnish. With a brush, draw along the petal from the center to the edge. Important: the brush must follow the wire without separation (so that no voids form between the brush and the wire). Otherwise the varnish will run off the wire. If everything went well, then you should get a petal with varnish, which, when dried, forms a film. Repeat with the other 3 petals.

Step 7

The first coat of varnish dries in about 2 minutes (but this depends on the composition of the varnish). Next, apply the second coat of varnish. This is much easier to do than to apply the first coat. 2 layer of varnish is needed so that the color is without gaps, and also to increase the strength of the product. Stick the flowers into a dish sponge or a backing from a store (it is more convenient to work with a backing).

Step 8

You need to make about 27 flowers (3 different colors), but this depends on the size of the heart. Leave to dry. For about 2-2.5 hours.

Step 9

Getting started with thick wire. We form a heart out of it, twist the wire from the bottom so that about 10 cm remains. (It is better to leave more than cut too much).

Step 10

Now you need to fix the flowers on the base. You need to gently press the flower to the wire. Wrap the stem 2 times around the base wire. Cut off the excess thin wire "at the root" with side cutters. To prevent the flower from moving in the middle, apply a drop of glue-moment.

Step 11

We do this with each flower.

Step 12

Getting started with alabaster. You will need alabaster, the heart itself, a teaspoon, room temperature water, a brush (to mix the alabaster), 3 containers: one with water, the second for mixing the alabaster, and the third as a mold. You also need a fat cream. They need to pre-lubricate the mold so that the alabaster leaves it well.

Step 13

Stir alabaster as directed. Pour it into a mold and insert a heart into it. It is important to work quickly as it hardens very quickly. For about 1-2 minutes, you need to hold your heart so that the figure stands firmly and does not move. Then you can let him go and at this time very quickly wash everything out from under the alabaster, otherwise later you may not be able to save the dishes and all the accessories. After you have released the figure, there is about 2-3 minutes, then you need to pull it out.

Step 14

Put the figure to dry for about 1 hour, placing a piece of paper or cardboard under it. water will gradually be released. Alabaster then needs to be painted with nail polish in two layers.

Step 15

When the varnish is dry, you need to complete the figure with decoration. I made 2 hearts of different sizes from polymer clay, glued them with glue-moment and painted them with varnish.
