Many aspiring artists often have to draw figures of people. And not everyone knows how to do it correctly. Some difficulties arise with the creation of a male body on paper. After all, creating a proportional male figure is not easy. And all because it is necessary to strictly follow the rules for drawing details and contours. To correctly portray a representative of the strong half of humanity, you need a little perseverance and desire to make your drawing perfect.

Instructions
Step 1
First, draw a small blank on paper - a dummy. It is he who will be the basis of the drawing. The figure for the calculation is the size of the figure's head. The dummy should be equal to seven heads in height. The shoulders are located at a distance of one and a half heads from the top of the figure. The shoulders, as well as the hips, should be equal in width to the two heads. The beginning of the hips is located at the height of three heads from the beginning of the drawing downwards, and the knees are at the level of five heads. At the stage of creating a dummy, you do not need to draw anything in detail. The main thing is to simply sketch out how a man should look.
Step 2
Next, draw a special helper line right in the middle of the figure. All other details will have to be drawn symmetrically to it. Such a line is necessary to preserve the balance of the drawing. Now you can get down to the hands of your man. First you need to determine where his navel will be (usually it is located at a distance of two and a half heads from the top). The hands are drawn depending on the navel, because the elbows are at the same level with it, at the moment when the hands are calmly lowered. The entire length of the arm should go to the middle of the thigh.
Step 3
After the hands, start drawing the legs. They must be slightly longer than all other parts of the body. The knees are located halfway from the feet to the beginning of the legs.
Step 4
In order to turn the already finalized scheme of a dummy into a spectacular man, you need to finish drawing his body as it happens with ordinary people. This can be achieved with ovals and cylinders. To correctly draw a male body, knowledge of human anatomy is necessary: you need to know which muscle groups are located where and how. Focus on your shoulders, not your hips.
Step 5
Delete all construction lines. To do this, you can use a regular eraser (as long as it is soft). Gradually, the figure, consisting of incomprehensible lines and sketches, takes on a human appearance. Don't forget to style your face. To do this, the lower part of the dummy needs to be rounded more and shape the chin. You can make your eyes whatever you like: wide open, closed, squinted. The main thing is to arrange them proportionally. The face is drawn according to the same principle as the whole body - using the knowledge of anatomy. Use the eraser to completely erase the excess parts. And where necessary, trace the outline again. Your man is ready.
