A very kind and useful toy - a traditional folk rag doll. In the old days, these dolls served not only as a subject for games, but also as amulets against various misfortunes. It is believed to be one of the simplest toys. However, a rag doll can also be a real masterpiece.

Step 1
First, make a pattern for your future doll. The head and body can be one canvas. Cut out the arms and legs separately. Sew the body, legs and arms on the sewing machine, turn the parts to the right side and stuff them with holofiber or padding polyester. It is quite difficult to turn out fine details, so do it with a pencil. Sew the open part of the body with blind stitches. Sew your legs and arms to it. To make the doll fit, sew the legs where you expect the knees to be. Stretch the filler in this place slightly.
Step 2
Now you can make a face for the doll. Draw or embroider the eyes of the doll with French knots. Insert a needle from the side of the hair and insert it into the place where the eye is marked. Twist the thread twice around the needle and, while holding the thread, insert the needle side by side, leaving one or two threads on the fabric from the beginning. Then carefully thread down to the fabric. Next, bring the needle to the place where the other eye will be, while holding the loop with your hand. One eye is ready. Make the second eye the same way. Bring the thread to where the doll's hair will be, and tie a knot. The eyes are ready.
Step 3
The hairstyle for the doll is very important! So that its owner can comb the doll's hair, braid the braids and make ponytails. Draw on the face and back of the head the border of the bangs and side strands, they can be embroidered with satin stitch, make pigtails from yarn (preferably acrylic) and sew on both sides of the head. Secure the end of each braid.
Step 4
There is one more way to make a lush hairstyle for your beauty. To do this, also use acrylic threads. First, determine the length of your future hair. Measure with a ruler or tape measure from the middle of the head to the length you want to make. This length should be doubled, make a skein on a cardboard template. The thickness of the skein should be such that you can cover your head with one layer of thread. Do not do more, otherwise the hair will be too thick. Spread the yarn evenly over your head. Next, sew a needle exactly in the middle of the head with a seam forward with threads to match the hair color, grabbing three threads each. Try to sew the hairs closer to each other. Pull the ends of the threads and cut. The resulting seam, wrap the thread twice. Next, pass it under the hair from the side of the face, and tie a knot at the back of the head. All that remains is to straighten your hair and style it.

Line the cheeks with a pink pencil, embroider the mouth.
