All kinds of dishes are often depicted in still lifes. The drawn cup may be needed on its own. For example, if you are making educational cards for your child and you need him to learn how to distinguish dishes from the rest of the mass of objects. It is best to draw such cards yourself - in any case, you can depict the cup of exactly the shape that you need.

It is necessary

  • -pencil;
  • -paper;
  • -paints;
  • - a cup or a picture on which it is depicted.

Instructions

Step 1

The sheet can be laid both horizontally and vertically. The height and width of the cup are usually not very different from each other. Therefore, the drawn cup will look good in any position of the sheet. Just try to keep it in the middle.

Step 2

Place the cup some distance away from you. Better if it is just below your eye level. Whether or not to make draperies depends entirely on your desire. Roughly determine the ratio of the height to the widest part, as well as the widest and narrowest parts. Look closely at the bend line of the side surface. Circle the side lines in the air and remember the movement.

Step 3

Draw a vertical line in the center of the sheet. The main part of the cup is symmetrical about the vertical axis, and this must be taken into account. Set aside on a center line equal to the height. Mark its beginning and end with dots.

Step 4

Draw 2 horizontal lines through the marked points. Set aside segments equal to the largest and smallest width of the cup on them. The widest point for a simple cup is at the top, the narrowest at the bottom. The midpoints of both segments should be at the intersection of the centerline with the horizontal lines.

Step 5

Draw ovals through the endpoints of each horizontal line. The widest part of one and the other ovals falls on the center line. The line of the upper oval is the same thickness everywhere. At the bottom, circle the brighter part of it that is closest to the bottom edge of the sheet. The second half of the bottom will not be visible.

Step 6

Connect the points with which you marked the width of the upper and lower parts in pairs with a line repeating the line of the side surface of the cup. If you don't remember exactly how it goes, draw it again in the air and repeat the movement on paper.

Step 7

Circle the pen in the air. Please note that you need to draw it with two parallel curved lines. Repeat the movement on the paper in the same direction as you drew it in the air. Draw the outer line of the handle first and then the inner line.

Step 8

Transfer the shape of the cup. First, apply an even, light coat of paint over the outside of the cup. Paint over the upper oval with an even layer of the same paint, but in a colder shade. For example, paint the outer part with white paint with the addition of yellow or pink, and for the inner part, add blue or greenish in white. Put a thicker layer on the outside. Imagine that there is a triangle with jagged edges on the surface of the cup, and apply a second layer to the part of the surface that will be outside this triangle. Darken the bottom corners with another layer.
