Even a small child can sketch a boat. Waves, a horizontal strip, above which a white triangle of the sail is visible - here is a boat, courageously crossing the endless ocean. But if you try, you can draw a more interesting boat.
Boat near the shore
Imagine that you come to the shore and see a boat tied to it. You look at it from above, you see the bottom, oarlocks, banks. Try to draw all this. It is better to lay the sheet horizontally. To start drawing the boat in stages, draw a line of the shore with a hard pencil parallel to the bottom edge of the sheet. Better if it is uneven. The coast always has some curvature, unless, of course, you are on a granite embankment. Find the middle of this line and draw an oblique line to it, approximately at an angle of 45 °, but it is, of course, not necessary to measure the degrees with a protractor. Mark the length of the boat on this guide line. Draw perpendiculars in both directions to the mark on the stern side. Mark the width of the back of the boat. Draw a line for the stern.
The bottom of the boat may not be fully visible, but it is better to do all the constructions, and then remove or hide unnecessary lines.
Draw the top
From the ends of the perpendicular, draw parallel lines towards the nose. They must be the same length, and less than the auxiliary line. Connect the ends to the nose mark. You have two stripes and two triangles. Round the corners where the stripes meet with the triangles. Round the nose slightly. Draw the inner outline. Pay attention to the fact that the sides have different thicknesses, moreover, their parts that are farther from the viewer seem a little thinner. Draw a line of the bottom parallel to the contour of the bead. Mark the keel with a thin line, it also runs parallel to the sides. Draw a smooth curve for the nose.
It is better to apply the auxiliary lines with a hard pencil, the main ones with a soft one.
Boat details
Draw some benches. They are just stripes parallel to the stern line. To draw more conveniently, draw a line parallel to the top line of the side from bow to stern. The ends of the cans are on this line. Remember to convey the thickness of the benches. To do this, duplicate the lines of each bench that are closer to you. Draw the rest of the boat - oarlocks, oars. The oarlocks can be depicted schematically, they are located on wide ledges of the sides. As for the oars, they can be given different positions. If the oar lies along the top line of the side, then it is a long strip with a rectangle at the end. The corners of the rectangle can be rounded. Draw the planks that your boat is made of. Their lines run parallel to the top of the side closest to you.
Draw the sea
Decide if your boat is on the shore or if part of it is at sea. In the first case, it is fully visible, in the second - a piece of the day and sides are hidden by water. Cut off the bottom and part of the stern. Draw the waves with light horizontal strokes. By the way, if the boat is in the water, do not forget to draw a reflection - you can simply indicate it with a couple of three main lines.
