Setting the shutter speed
The next parameter that affects the amount of light is the shutter speed, or the duration of the shutter. The shutter speed is defined in fractions of a second or in seconds. The PowerShot SX30 IS is available in values from 1/3200 of a second to 15 seconds. To manually set the shutter speed, you need to turn the mode dial to the TV position. The shutter speed is shown on the display. Rotating the command dial changes the shutter speed. In TV mode, the camera automatically sets the aperture value.
Changing the ISO speed
It is about changing the light sensitivity of the sensor. Lower ISO values are less sensitive to light, this mode is suitable for shooting in strong light conditions. High ISO values are used for indoor shooting. The lower the ISO, the less noise in the photo.
In the PowerShot SX30 IS, you can use the automatic ISO speed setting mode or enter it manually. For manual tuning, press the Func.set button on the control wheel.
