Beautiful architectural layouts often attract admiring glances, but few people dare to repeat the object they like and make a layout on their own - working on the layout is painstaking and requires a lot of time and physical costs. Nevertheless, a ready-made model can delight your eyes and the eyes of your friends for a long time, so you can try to make a model of a simple building with your own hands. In this article, we'll show you how to make a mock-up of a simple country house out of plywood and wooden slats.
Instructions
Step 1
First, draw all the elements and details of the future layout on paper. The drawing must be on a scale of 1:50 and its measurements must be accurate. Calculate the dimensions of the roof, walls, facade, platform on which the building stands, and other fragments of the layout.
Step 2
Transfer the drawings to thin plywood and carefully saw out the parts. Then cut out the window and door openings in the finished parts, and then sand the edges and cuts with sandpaper.
Step 3
Glue the wide slats for the foundation to the base, and then sand and grind. Saw the doors out of thin plywood and cover them with thin wooden slats, adjusting the size of the door leaf so that it fits snugly into the opening.
Step 4
For windows, take thin plexiglass and cut it to fit the shape and size of the window openings. Make window frames from thin wooden slats, and then make ebbs and trims.
Step 5
Make the roof and gallery frames out of plywood, and bend downpipes and gutters out of thin sheet metal. Attach them to the roof and then make a chimney and skylight in the loft wall. The porch can be made from wide pieces of wood.
Step 6
Start assembling the layout after all the elements are installed - doors, windows, and the like. Fasten the roof frame to the box of the house, install the porches, glue decorative strips that cover the gluing points of the frame.
Step 7
Cut out porch balusters and balconies if desired. Bring the logs to a realistic shape using a file and a file. Sand all fragments of the layout and cover it with decorative impregnation or varnish. Also, the layout can be painted with acrylic or oil paint.
Step 8
Start by making simple models and continue to improve your skills on more complex buildings.
