The Sphinx is a mythical animal with a female head, the body of a lion and the tail of a bull. The ancient Egyptian Sphinx is a huge block that guards the Egyptian pyramids and attracts the eyes of more and more people. Pencil drawing is able to convey only the outlines of the figure, and it is better to feel all the power of the sphinx up close.

Instructions
Step 1
Sketch out the shape of the sphinx with a pencil. Place it on the right side of the album sheet. Draw a large triangle pointing upwards with an acute angle. Separate the top of the figure with a horizontal line - this will be the head of the sphinx.
Step 2
Draw a large, elongated oval, horizontal, in the middle of the base of the triangle. Draw another smaller one on the right side of the oval. These will be the paws of the sphinx. From the middle of the upper borders of the ovals, draw up two vertical lines until they touch the head. Draw the same line going out from the extreme left point of the large oval. Thus, outline the shoulders of the sphinx.
Step 3
Draw the details of the head of the stone sculpture. In the middle of the small triangle, draw an oval - the face of the pharaoh. Separate the upper part with a vertical line smoothly descending from the left edge. This will be part of the headdress. In the middle, draw a figure protruding slightly upward from the head - decoration. Draw eyes with empty pupils, long eyebrows reaching the outer edge of the eyes, a nose and closed lips, taking into account the proportions of the position of the parts of the person. Draw the ear. Continue the beard with a narrow rectangle going down to the chest. Shade most of the shape, leaving only the bottom intact, with closely spaced broken lines.
Step 4
Draw the parts of the headdress that are located on either side of the head. Shade the parts with horizontal lines across the entire width.
Step 5
In the middle of the body and from the side, depict the entrances to the sphinx. Draw small strokes on the sphinx's paws, separating the toes. Draw a rock under the paws with small stones at the foot. On the left side of the picture, draw a pyramid with three straight lines converging from different sides to one point.
