Step 1
Before starting knitting, be sure to knit a pattern that will help you correctly calculate the number of loops for the first set of rows and knitting density. The desired knitting density for a jacket is 16 loops and 20 rows in a 10x10 cm sample. If your sample has a different number of loops, then you can change the knitting needles for knitting needles of a larger or smaller diameter, or make your own calculations. To do this, divide the total number of loops in the sample by its length. You will get the number of loops in one centimeter. Multiply this number by the width of the shelf or backrest, so you will find out the number of loops for the first typesetting row.
Step 2
Back cast 72 loops. Knit 22 rows with a 2x2 elastic or a fancy pattern of small braids tied on four loops, between them knit two loops with a purl. Next, continue to knit with the front stitch. Close for armholes at a height of 35 cm from the beginning of knitting on both sides in every second row three loops and two times one loop. In total, you will need to subtract 10 stitches for a total of 62 stitches. At 55 cm, close 14 shoulder loops on each side. Remove the remaining 34 sts on the auxiliary knitting needle.
Step 3
For the right shelf, cast on 36 loops and knit 22 rows with a 2x2 elastic or a fancy pattern, just like on the back. At the same time, subtract from the fastener side 10 times, one loop in every second row. Next, continue to knit with the front stitch. At a height of 35 cm from the beginning of knitting, close three loops on the side of the side seam for the armhole in every second row and two times one loop at a time. On the opposite side, for a bevel of the neck, subtract one loop seven times in every fourth row. Close 14 shoulder loops at 55 centimeters from start of knitting. Knit the left shelf symmetrically to the right.
Step 4
Sleeve Cast on 40 stitches and knit 22 rows with 2x2 rib or fancy braid stitch. Next, continue knitting with the front satin stitch. In every tenth row on both sides, add one loop five times. As a result, you should have 50 stitches. At a height of 42 cm for the rounding of the sleeves, close on both sides in every second row two loops eight times. At a height of 50 centimeters from the beginning of knitting, close the remaining 18 loops.
Step 5
Assembly Moisten all parts. Pin to the pattern and dry by spreading it out on a flat surface. Stitch the shoulder and side cuts by hand with a knit or sewing machine. Sew sleeves into the armholes. Raise 192 sts along the neckline and edges of the shelves, including the 34 stitches that remained on the auxiliary needle. Work in a 2x2 elastic or fancy stitch, adding one stitch ten times in every second row on both sides. Then close all the loops according to the pattern. Sew the lower edges of the fastener strip to the edges of the lower edge of the shelves. Sew one large button on the left shelf at the waistline. On the right shelf, make a hinge loop.
