Instructions
Step 1
The method of stitching into the neck of the collar depends on its shape, style, and also on the type of fastening of the product.
When sewing men's shirts with a solid fastener, a collar with a one-piece stand is connected to the neck in the following way. Fold the bottom of the collar together with the neckline inward, face to face, aligning the shoulder seam markings with the midpoint of the back neckline. Baste both parts with a machine stitch 0.7-1 cm wide. Press the stitch on the inner collar. Then tuck the hem of the collar 0, 6-0, 8 cm, baste. Then sew 0.1-0.2 cm from the fold.
Step 2
If the collar is sewn on a cut-off stand, then first align the stand with the collar. Subsequently sew the collar to the collar using the same method as the one-piece collar.
Step 3
Sewing into the neck of a single collar. Connect the collar to the neckline with a single-layer (double) piping or piping cut from the same fabric as the garment. When processing with a single-layer whip, tucking its edge inward, stitch 0.1 cm from the edge.
Step 4
And when making a double binding, sew with a machine stitch at a distance of 0.1 cm from the inner fold of the binding. Without facing the collar, sew the collar with zigzag stitches. Place the upper side of the collar on the wrong side of the garment and sew it into the neck on a sewing machine. Seam width 0.5 cm. Bending back the collar, sew into the neckline with zigzag stitches.
Step 5
Sewing on the collar. Place the wrong side of the collar on the front side of the product, leaving the border of the collar wider by 0.5 cm of the neckline. The wider the width, the wider the seam will be. After unscrew the collar, bend the wide part from the side of the collar, closing the seam, sew in the interval from the edge of 0.1 cm.
Step 6
Two-piece detachable collar. Cut out the details of the gate. Fold them face to face inward, grind the cuts on 4 sides, leaving open the hole in the cut of the post for turning out. Trim the seams in the corners of the collar, leaving an allowance of 0, 2-0, 3 cm. Turn the collar through the left hole to the front side. Straighten corners and seams, sweep with temporary stitches, creating a piping on the upper collar.
Step 7
Press on the side of the lower collar and remove the embroidery threads. Stitch the gap along the edge of the stand on a typewriter or hem with blind stitches by hand. Sew a zigzag stitch or hem, depending on the quality of the fabric. Cut a single-ply collar at the edges and with a fly away with a hem seam with a closed cut, edging or lace.
