Almost all children adore watching cartoons. And of course, they have their favorite fairy-tale characters. One of these is Luntik. Some babies ask their mother to buy their favorite character in the form of a soft toy. And for other children of my mother, I sew it myself. After all, to please your child, you need to spend only one evening.
It is necessary
- -calca;
- -pencil;
- -line;
- - threads;
- - fabric of the appropriate color and texture (velor, velvet or fleece);
- -sewing machine.
Instructions
Step 1
Unfold the fabric before sewing. Some parts of the toy should work out, so the material needs to be folded in half. Draw the pattern on tracing paper or special paper. Don't forget the smallest details. The body should be shaped like a trapezoid with slightly rounded edges above and below. Make a slit for the legs and tail. The semi-oval will be the future neck. The head is built on the same principle as the body, only slightly smaller in proportion.
Step 2
Remember that depending on how you will sew the parts, you need to calculate the allowances for the fabric. So, for example, when sewing a product on a sewing machine, you need to leave 5-7 mm of fabric around the edges to process the seams. In case you are sewing by hand, keep in mind that it is recommended to sew parts like this - enter the game over the edge of the last stitch. At the same time, remember that the ideal height for a stitch in this case is about 2-3 mm, and 10-12 such stitches need to be placed on 1 cm of the fabric.
Step 3
Fold those parts that will serve as ears with the front side inward. But don't forget to leave the ends unstitched. Through them, you will need to turn the material outward. Straighten the seams.
Step 4
Now move on to stitching the hands and fingers of the toy. They will also need to be folded with the front side inward. Then sew along the outline. Again, do not forget to leave unsecured areas to turn the parts out. After that, straighten out all the small parts, and then fill the body of the toy with padding polyester. Hands are sewn in the same way.
Step 5
The next step is making the legs. They are also sewn by folding the material with the right side inward and sweeping along the contour. The only difference is that the foot is sewn separately, the wide part of the leg is separately. Then all the details are stuffed with padding polyester and sewn together. To make your toes, tighten with a matching color of thread.
Step 6
Next is the tail. Everything is done in the same way. After that, it must be sewn to the head (a cut was drawn on the pattern specially for the tail). Close up any open darts on the torso of the toy. Now assemble the body and head, sew the finished parts into one another and proceed to making the neck. The details of the neck must first be stitched, then stuffed with material, and then sewn between the head and the body. It is very difficult to do this on a typewriter, so it would be much better to do it manually.
Step 7
It remains only to decorate the toy. Cut out the necessary parts and carefully sew them to the torso and head. And your Luntik is ready!
