Instructions
Step 1
Draw on paper a pattern of a turtle of the desired size, adding two centimeters along the edges: the head along with the neck, front and hind legs, tail, belly of two halves, a round top and a rectangular side in the form of an even strip for a hat. Draw an oval carapace, dividing it into hexagons, like a soccer ball.
Step 2
Cut out the details. Cut the shell into separate hexagons.
Step 3
Take the material from which you are going to make a turtle. When applying paper parts to the patches, circle them with chalk or a bar of soap. Head (2 sides), paws (4 legs, 2 parts each) and tail (2 sides) on beige fabric. The hat (1 piece) and the side of the hat (1 piece) on red, the belly on yellow. All parts of the carapace should be different colors. Circle them, adding 1 to 2 centimeters around all edges for stitching. Also cut a long strip for the frill of the red hat and slightly wider for the frill of the carapace.
Step 4
Cut out all the details and start stitching. Start at the head, then sew the legs and tail together. Sew all the details on the inside, turn them inside out and stuff with a synthpon. Next, you need to assemble the shell by stitching hexagons together. After that, sew a frill to it, giving it a waviness. Connect the two halves of the belly together.
Step 5
When all the individual parts of the turtle are ready, you need to put them together. Connect the belly and carapace and sew, inserting the paws and tail, so that the frill remains hanging loosely around the edges.
Step 6
Let's get down to the hat. Sew the top to the sides, add a frill, stuff with padding polyester. Attach a tie ribbon to it. Then attach the hat to the turtle's head, remembering to grab it with a needle in several places. Tie the ribbon nicely.
Step 7
Sew the button eyes on the turtle. Sew your mouth with red thread. The turtle is ready! The finished product can be played, or can be used as a decorative pillow.
