Do you want to please yourself and your loved ones with magnificent flowers in the middle of a winter blizzard? Try growing a lily, one of the most beautiful bulbous plants used for indoor winter, early spring and fall blooms.
It is necessary
lily bulbs, soil or peat substrate, plastic seedling containers, liquid organic fertilizers
Instructions
Step 1
From autumn, dig large, dense lily bulbs 2-3 years old in your garden. You can also use bulbs that are sold at fairs as planting material.
Fill pots or containers with soil and plant the bulbs approximately 5 cm deep.
Step 2
Water the pots with planted bulbs and place in a cool place with a temperature of about 3-4 degrees. You can store containers in the refrigerator or cold basement. The time required for the bulbs for rooting is 1.5-2 months. When the first shoots appear above the soil surface, the containers can be placed in a warm place, gradually increasing the temperature and increasing the intensity of watering.
Step 3
Once the plants have developed well-developed roots and strong stems, they can be fertilized. Feed the lilies with an organic fertilizer solution every 10 days.
Step 4
You will soon have your first buds. From the moment of their appearance to the flowering of lilies, it takes about a month. If you want to speed up this process, you should raise the temperature to 30 degrees and increase the lighting.
