For the production of natural juices from grapes at home, several methods of its processing are used. Juice squeezed from fresh fruits is a valuable product, it is used for food directly or is used to make jelly, wine, and other drinks. To extract mineral salts, sugar, vitamins and other useful substances from fruits, you need a device for pressing grapes.

It is necessary

  • - wooden blocks;
  • - rolls;
  • - fasteners (bolts and nuts);
  • - bearings;
  • - metal rod;
  • - tools for working with metal and wood.

Instructions

Step 1

To grind grapes at home, make a roller grinder. It consists of a wooden frame, the same wooden loading bucket, two wooden rollers fixed in bearings on the frame, and a handle for rotation.

Step 2

For the frame, prepare wooden blocks 600-700 mm long, with a section of 100x40 mm. The width of the frame will be determined by the length of the drums. The optimal size is about 150-200 mm. Make the distance between the cross bars equal to the sum of the roll lengths, adding another 100 mm to it.

Step 3

Make the press rolls grooved. In this case, the depth of the reefs should be at least 20-30 mm. Make the reefs directed helically in relation to the roll axes, providing a lateral displacement of 20 mm for every 100 mm of the roll.

Step 4

Fasten the rolls in the main frame with bearings. The rolls will rotate on axes at different speeds. For this, rotation is transferred from one roll to another by means of gears of different diameters. The difference between the gears should provide a gear ratio of 1: 2. If the diameter of the gears is the same, make rolls of different diameters to ensure different speeds of circular rotation.

Step 5

Above the rolls, reinforce a pyramid-shaped wooden receiving bucket used for loading raw materials. Place the bucket on the cross rails of the press frame with a minimum clearance between the bucket and the rolls. The rotation of the rollers crushing the raw material is carried out manually by means of a handle attached to one of the rollers.

Step 6

In the lower part of the press, under the rolls, install a vessel for receiving the squeezed raw material (pulp). Make the gap between the rolls manageable and set it depending on the size of the grapes. The average gap should be 3-5 mm.

Step 7

To process grapes with such a pressing device, load the raw material into the receiving bucket, from where it will go to the rolls. Rotating the rollers, you crush the raw material into a mashed mass and at the same time extract the juice from it. At the same time, the peel from the berries is not removed, since the tannins contained in it give the juice a specific fruit smell.
