Instructions

Step 1

Make a blank for the future mask. Take an A4 sheet, fold it in half. Draw half of the mask, its center should be aligned with the fold line of the sheet. Draw a notch for the bridge of the nose and roughly outline the hole for the eyes. Cut out, straighten out the mask. Attach to your face, look in the mirror to see if the cutouts match the position of your eyes. Modify the sketch according to the structure of your face.

Step 2

Trace the preliminary sketch of the mask on thick paper. Cut carefully. To give the mask more rigidity and in order to prevent it from breaking through in the places where the elastic is attached, use a decorative self-adhesive furniture film. Take a sheet of a suitable size, remove the protective layer, attach a mask cut out of paper. Do not allow bubbles to form on the surface. Carefully cut along the contour.

Step 3

Color in the mask. Apply paint to the paper side of the blank. Use acrylic paints, they do not stain clothes, they fit evenly and tightly. Leave the product to dry completely.

Step 4

Make holes in the sides of the mask for the elastic, with which it will be attached to the head. Cut them out with a blade. Insert elastic, bend, hem with matching threads on both sides.

Step 5

Decorate the mask. Use sequins, sequins, lace, ribbons, beads and bugles for this. Arrange them in any order or create a complex ornament. Use tweezers to gently glue small parts. Decorate the top line of the mask with specially dyed feathers.

Step 6

Attach a light veil to the bottom edge of the mask using glue. Opt for lightweight organza fabric or the finest lace so that it doesn't weigh down the mask. You can grab the veil with threads, apply a small amount of glitter gel to the stitches on the outside of the mask so that they are not visible.
