Step 2
Do not start sewing clothes with ready-made patterns from magazines and books, be patient and first of all learn the methods of building the basics and modeling products. Understand the main sequence of tailoring: building the base, modeling, preparing the fabric, cutting out, processing parts and their joining.
Step 3
Move on to the practical study of sewing technology. Practice on simple models of clothes - an apron, a skirt, a sundress, a T-shirt. The quality of the finished product directly depends on how the measurements are made correctly and the model is cut out. Remember the simple truth: "Measure seven times - cut one." Be careful when taking measurements, this will allow you to make the correct calculations and the perfect pattern.
Step 4
Lay out the pattern on a piece of fabric and gently trace around with chalk or a bar of soap. Cut each element along the outside of the line, so prepare all parts of the product. For convenience, the edges of the cut out parts can be processed on an overlock, but so that the fabric does not lose its shape.
Step 5
Gather the finished product at the seams, sweep. You can try on the resulting thing. She has already taken the desired shape and should sit on the figure, as expected. If there are any shortcomings, carry out the required fitting work.
Step 6
After trying on the fitted garment again, carefully sew the seams over the basting. Process the beginning and end of the seams, remove any protruding threads. Iron the product by ironing all machine stitches. Go to a new product.
