Starfish are inhabitants of the ocean and sea depths with an unusual color and body shape. Such unusual marine inhabitants have long attracted people with their unusual beauty. There are over 1,500 species of modern starfish. They are actively caught and dried for interior decoration. But the starfish can also be made using the origami technique.
How to make a starfish
1. Take a square piece of paper and fold it in half.
2. Perpendicular to the fold, fold in the middle.
3. Fold the top corner of a sheet of paper towards the center of the square and unfold it back. At the folds, you will see the intersection of the lines, which will be required for further manipulations.
4. Bend the line of the square AB to the point at the intersection of the previous folds.
5. Unfold the sheet back.
6. Bend the AB line to the top edge. The fold line should follow the point that was obtained at the intersection of the previous folds.
7. Fold the top of the sheet towards the bottom.
8. Turn the workpiece right-side down.
9. Bend two corners and iron the workpiece by hand to show the folds more clearly.
10. Fold the top corner parallel to the base line.
11. Expand the resulting blank.
12. Attach a corner to the marked line.
13. Fold in the corners as shown in the drawing.
14. The top corner must be opened.
15. Bend the workpiece in the middle.
16. Fold the corner inward of the workpiece.
17. Fold the corner from top to bottom.
18. Unfold the corner while holding the workpiece.
19. Fold the bottom of the square towards the top in the direction of the arrow.
20. Rotate the workpiece counterclockwise 90 degrees.
21. Fold the top left corner in the center from left to right.
22. Expand the resulting petal from right to left.
23. Bend the upper right corner to the opposite side.
24. Expand the formed petal from left to right.
25. Bend the corners from the bottom up.
26. Make a small fold in the corners that go beyond the main lines of the shape.
27. Expand the top corners.
28. Flip the resulting triangle to the right along the center fold line.
29. Bend the left overhanging corner to the center of the workpiece.
30. Flip the two formed petals from right to left.
31. Fold the overhanging right corner to the center of the workpiece.
32. Flip one petal to the right.
33. Fold the workpiece from point A to point B.
34. The same operation must be done on the other side.
35. Unfold the folded pieces.
36. Fold the triangle from right to left along the center fold line.
37. Along line AB, bend the workpiece to the right.
38. Fold the corner up.
39. Bend the workpiece along the lines shown in the figure.
40. Lift the lower part of the formed fold up a little.
41. Insert the fold inside the shape.
42. Fold the resulting ray of the starfish to the right.
43. For the left side of the workpiece, repeat steps 36 through 42.
44. Unfold the lower left corner of the workpiece.
45. Roll the corner marked with the letter A inside the dark part of the left triangle of the star.
46. Bend the left half of the protruding corner inside the dark part.
47. For the right side of the workpiece, repeat steps 44 through 46.
48. Make a star shape by squeezing it slightly with your fingers.
