Drawing an elephant may seem like a daunting task to some, but in reality it is not. If you strictly observe the proportions and try, then the drawing simply cannot fail, especially if you use only pencils for drawing, the traces of which, in case of failure, can always be removed with an eraser and redraw the lines again.
It is necessary
- - a clean album sheet;
- - pencils (hard and soft);
- - eraser;
- - napkin.
Instructions
Step 1
The first step is to put a clean sheet in front of you horizontally. Pick up a hard pencil and, barely touching it to the sheet, draw two circles of different diameters. The larger circle is on the right, the smaller one is on the left. Connect the two resulting figures with an arc (hereinafter it will be the neck).
Step 2
Next, you need to outline with the same hard pencil where the legs and trunk will be. The most important thing here is to correctly determine the size of the parts.
Step 3
The next stage is drawing all the details. It is necessary to arrange the trunk of the elephant, as well as the legs (the length of the legs should be equal to the length of the body).
Step 4
As soon as the main lines are ready, you can remove the auxiliary lines with the eraser, then add the missing details in the picture: ears, tail, eyes and tusks.
Do not overdo it with the size of the animal's eyes, they should be small and round. The optimal tail length is half the length of the leg.
Step 5
To give the drawing a more believable look, it is necessary to lightly shade the elephant's body using a soft pencil, pay special attention to the tail and trunk (they should be slightly darker than the rest of the body).
Step 6
The final stage is to create highlights and shadows. You need to carefully shade the drawing, rub it with a napkin to slightly "blur" the lines.
