It is necessary

  • - soft tulle or mesh;
  • - sewing machine;
  • - elastic tape 2 cm wide.

Instructions

Step 1

Take a soft tulle and, having determined the length, cut out two panels from it, as well as one piece each of the upper, middle and lower frills. Leave one and a half centimeters for allowances on the seams and along the cuts.

Step 2

Stitch short cuts on the ruffles. Fold each in half lengthwise, right side out, and then press it on. Gather ruffles at the top cuts.

Step 3

Sew the bottom edges of the panels with a tight, tight zigzag stitch. To do this, press the seam allowance on the seamy side and stitch on the seamy side of the shuttlecock. Cut the excess seam allowance close to the stitching.

Step 4

On one panel, set aside 15 - 18 cm from the bottom edge up and draw a seam line for the bottom frill. Stitch the lower gather on the panel. Stitch the middle frill on the panel so that its bottom edge is two centimeters above the bottom frill.

Step 5

Pull the second panel over the first (with frills), applying the wrong side to the front one, and sweep the upper cuts. To distribute the assemblies as evenly as possible when grinding the gathered cut, divide the cut into four equal lengths before squeezing. Assemble each of them separately.

Step 6

Sew the ends of the elastic so that it is the same length as your waist. Before attaching, be sure to try on the tape, since then it will be impossible to change its length. Stretching, stitch it to the top of the petticoat. To do this, first divide the upper cut of the skirt and the ribbon into four equal parts and mark their ends with tailor's pins.

Step 7

Fold the elastic halfway over the right side of the petticoat and stretch it over to zigzag.

Step 8

If you decide to sew a fluffy petticoat from a mesh, then provide a cover for it, which is a simple cotton skirt hemmed from below, which will protect the skin from contact with a rigid mesh.
