Often you want to add airiness and lightness to a dress, and a lush one can help in this, making it much easier and easier than it might seem at first glance. With some helpful tips, you will learn how to sew a 3-layer fluffy skirt.

It is necessary

about 3 m of tulle or netting, about 14 m of tape, keeper tape (you can replace it with an elastic band), corresponding to the length of your waist, pencil. If desired, you can use the clasp to secure the skirt

Instructions

Step 1

It is necessary to draw 4 strips 20 cm X 3.5 m (these measurements are just an example, they can be easily changed according to circumstances). At the cutting sites, strips of fabric are processed with a special fixer, after which 2 strips about 3.5 m long are cut out. Each of these strips of fabric must be cut in half (to get strips approximately 1.8 m long). Cut the resulting strips of 1, 8 m in half.

Step 2

Two pieces of 3, 5 m are sewn together, using the so-called "French seam", for which you need to fold the parts inside out. Stitch at a distance of 0.5 cm from the edge, cut off the allowances that are close to the line. Then gently unfold the parts along the seam, folding the right sides. Then you need to sew again. As a result, the seam is hidden in a fold (which in some way resembles the principle of jeans). The same is done with 2 strips 1, 8 m long, and then tape is processed along one edge.

Step 3

Draw lines around the edges of the cut pieces of fabric, then sew them with double thread to tie them down (this should be done at zero tension, using a fourth stitch size). You can tighten each component piece separately, or you can immediately. If you decide to pull together separately, then for convenience, you can sew the strips immediately (in other words, close). Then you need to do the same with a piece of two tapes of 3.5 m each, pull off all these strips and sew the lower, pre-tightened part to the middle one, while covering the place of the tie with a tape. Next, you need to process the upper part, but you cannot close the strip. Then pull off the middle section and sew it to the top.

Step 4

If you decide to use a clasp, the last step is to attach the clasp to your skirt. In the event that the skirt does not seem too voluminous to you, it is worth adding more layers, repeating all the steps from start to finish.
