The rosehip pattern can be used to knit a blouse, dress or coat. It is suitable for women's and children's clothing and looks good in combination with different types of elastic bands. "Rosehip" is especially effective if knitted from soft, but well-spun wool with rather thick knitting needles. The styles of things made with this pattern can be any. You can knit with straight knitting needles or in a circle, but the sequence of loops in the second case will be slightly different.

It is necessary

  • - soft thick wool;
  • - knitting needles by the thickness of the wool or 1 number more.

Instructions

Step 1

For the pattern, cast on the number of stitches divisible by 4. Cast on 2 more stitches for the edging. When describing a picture, edge loops are usually not taken into account. In this case, the odd rows will be purl. The drawing is obtained on the front side.

Step 2

Remove the edging. From one loop, knit three. This is done as follows: insert those knitting needles into the loop, as when knitting the front one. Pull out the working thread, but do not drop the loop from the left knitting needle. Reverse yarn over and insert the needle again into the same stitch. Pull out the thread and drop the knit stitch from the left knitting needle. Purl the next 3 stitches together. Alternate the combinations of loops, in turn knitting from 1 loop 3, and then 3 together.

Step 3

Knit the second row and all even ones with purl loops. On circular knitting needles, knit odd rows in the same way as on straight lines, and even knit all rows with regular knitting needles (not crossed). In this case, you need to collect the number of loops, a multiple of four, without adding edge.

Step 4

In the third row, remove the edging. Purl the next 3 stitches together. Then knit, alternating 3 loops from one, 3 together with the purl. Knit the fourth row with purl, and from the fifth repeat the pattern.

Step 5

The rosehip pattern is more convenient, of course, to knit products with raglan sleeves or one-piece cut. But it lends itself well to knitting the armhole. Close at the beginning and at the end of the row the number of loops in multiples of four. If for some reason this does not work, knit the beginning of the row with purl loops in odd rows and knit loops in even rows. In this case, it is necessary to observe the sequence of alternation and ensure that the three stitches knitted together are always above the three that were made from one and vice versa.
