Bedspreads and blankets, sweaters and dresses are knitted with a pearl pattern. Even a beginner can master it, and at the same time it looks very impressive. For large pieces, this is the ideal pattern because it does not curl. In addition, the embroidery on it looks simply luxurious. The pearl pattern is also good because it can be knitted equally well from any yarn.

Medium yarn, knitting needles # 2 or 2, 5
Instructions
Step 1
Cast on 20-30 stitches in the usual way. Pull out one knitting needle and knit the first row. Try to keep them straight.
Step 2
Start knitting the pattern from the second row. Knit elastic, alternating front and back loops - 1 front, 1 purl.
Step 3
Flip knitting. Knit the second row, knitting the purl over the front loop, and the front loop over the purl loop. The pattern looks like cells. The main thing is not to confuse the loops.
Step 4
When you are confident in knitting this pattern, you can experiment a little, for example, make the cells larger. Knit the first row, alternating 2 front loops with 2 purl, in the second row do the opposite - knit purl over the front loops, knit the front over the purl. Products knitted with a pearl pattern of two types look spectacular. For example, in front of the sweaters, knit with a smaller pearl pattern 1x1, and for the back and sleeves, make the cell larger - 2x2 or even 3x3.
Step 5
On the basis of the pearl pattern, you can make another version of a very beautiful and simple pattern. Knit the first row in the same way as with the "classic" pearl pattern. Turn the knitting over and knit a row according to the pattern, over the front loops - front, over the purl - purl. In the third row, knit the purls over the front ones and vice versa, the fourth row - according to the picture. Repeat the pattern starting from the fifth row.
