Spoon is an artificial bait for catching predatory fish with a spinning rod. It is a small metal plate equipped with one or more fish hooks and a hole for fastening. There are several ways to attach a lure to a leash or fishing line.

It is necessary

  • - fishing line;
  • - leash;
  • - baubles

Instructions

Step 1

The simplest, but very reliable, way of attaching a spinner is the “Two loops” knot. Pull the end of the line twice into the carabiner ring of the lure you have prepared for fishing. Make a couple of loops around the body of the lure. Then pass the free end of the line, located on the side of the spoon, through the formed turns. Tighten the resulting knot carefully. Cut off excess fishing line with scissors or a pocket knife.

Step 2

The "Double Cry" lure attachment knot does not stretch and does not clamp the bait. The great popularity of this node among fishermen is due to its high reliability.

Step 3

Pass the line through the carabiner ring of the artificial lure. Pass its free end through the hole again so that a loop is formed. Hold it firmly between your index finger and thumb. With your other hand, grab the end of the line and wrap it several times around the base of the loop sandwiched between your fingers. Then pass it through the loop twice and pull firmly on the spoon. This way, you will firmly secure the resulting knot. For added security, pull on the main line and the free end at the same time. Cut the unnecessary ends of the line, leaving 3-4mm.

Step 4

You can also attach the lure with the help of the "Gripping knot", which practically does not reduce the strength of the used fishing line. This method is especially popular among fly-fishing enthusiasts. The gripping knot is also great for tying flies to a leash.

Step 5

Pass the free end of the fishing line through the hole in the spoon, wrap the carabiner ring with it 3-4 times and put it between the ring and the resulting turns. Pull the remaining end of the line and its main part in different directions, thereby tightening the knot. Cut the unnecessary remnants of the fishing line, leaving 2-3mm.
