- - copy paper;
- - sheet metal;
- - black acrylic primer;
- - varnish;
- - for glass and ceramics;
- - ruler;
- - meter.
Instructions
Step 1
Lightly polish the tray with sandpaper, remove dirt and dust. Paint it with background paint in two coats. Cut out the elements you like from the napkins, separate the top, ribbed layer of the napkins and glue it to the tray. Smooth out the shapes gently and then color them in. Cover the entire tray with two layers of varnish. This method of painting is suitable for those who draw poorly, but want to get an original thing.
Step 2
You can use another painting method. Find or print the drawings you need somewhere or print. Transfer the images to the tray using carbon paper. Make sure your tray is not primed. Trace the outlines of all designs with dark paint. Apply background paint outside of the images. Color in the drawings themselves.
Step 3
The background inside the pictures can be made in a different color than the main background. Draw carefully all the flowers and leaves, small buds and thin twigs. Varnish the entire tray in two layers.
You can try creating a Zhostovo style tray. To do this, you need to find a metal product. Use whitened paints to outline the silhouette of future images. Apply shadows to the tray, this will make your drawing deeper and more expressive.
Step 4
This type of painting is made out with bright colors, the colors should be in harmony with each other. Add highlights to make the image more realistic. With a thin brush, circle all the paths, strokes, draw in small details. Decorate the edge of the tray with floral designs.
Step 5
Cover the tray with soil. Wait until it dries and apply primer again. Once completely dry, use a glass contour to paint many small dots around the edges of the tray. Connect the dots so that you get the ornament you have outlined. Finish your pattern with contours of other colors. Repeat this operation with the bottom of the tray in the mirror image. Use the same principle to create other designs for your tray. Cover the entire tray with varnish.
