Temple architecture has always attracted artists, professionals and beginners. Drawing a cathedral is not easy, you need to have a sense of line, see the perspective and be able to create volume with the help of shadows, however, patience and work will allow you to create your own masterpiece.

Instructions

Step 1

Draw a parallelogram so that one side and one bottom face are "facing" you - you get a three-dimensional figure. This will be the basis.

Step 2

Now divide the front part of the parallelogram into three, where two of them will be side and one front (in fact, you have already drawn one side part when creating the parallelogram, it remains to draw one more line that will complete this step).

Step 3

Draw triangles in front of the parallelogram, into which you then inscribe the domes of the cathedral. Select the protrusions, the relief of the cathedral, and the main contours of the roof, where the domes will be located.

Step 4

Draw the outlines of the domes and turrets of the cathedral. If the hand for such drawings is not "full", then it will take a long time to achieve the ideal shape. Try to do without auxiliary materials: round rulers or compasses, because it is much more pleasant to draw every detail of the cathedral by hand!

Step 5

Modify all the details of the domes, drawing their bases as shallow arcs "attached" to the roof. Place some cathedral windows in the front, and don't forget the entrance arch.

Step 6

There is very little left: draw in detail all the components of the cathedral, select the outlines. Apply light shadows to the domes, ledges, and the side wall of the cathedral on your left. Now add strong shadows to the windows, entrance arches, and columns. Texture the roof and add crosses to the domes.

Step 7

Use bold strokes to select the domes on the left side, add deeper shadows for the ledges and columns. Sketch the roof of the cathedral and some small details that need improvement. Erase all unnecessary lines, slightly shade, and the drawing is ready! Do not forget that initially the figure is three-dimensional and is located with one edge to you, so all the details on it are half-turned. The main thing is to keep the proportion, and the result will meet all expectations!
