Instructions
Step 1
Take a white sheet of paper and place it horizontally. Sketch the outlines of the future elephant. With a simple pencil, first draw two intersecting circles. Sketch with light, slightly noticeable lines. Draw the first circle larger. This will be the body of the elephant. The small circle is the head of the animal.
Step 2
Sketch from the side. Divide the first circle horizontally into two parts. Draw an eye in the upper part, closer to the edge. Then draw a long trunk at the bottom of this circle. This element is the most difficult, so try to draw it very carefully. Draw it slightly thicker at the base than at the end. Finish the element with a small circle. An elephant can be drawn with its trunk raised or down. Draw the mouth just below. You can make him smile.
Step 3
Draw four rectangular legs to the bottom of the body. Remember that the legs of the animal are large, since they bear the main load. Draw three toes at the end of each paw. Draw folds on the knees of each leg. Attach a small tail to the second circle. Elephants have another distinctive feature - these are large ears, thanks to which the animal is saved from overheating. Add these two parts to the first circle. In the side view, draw one ear of a semi-oval shape, and depict the other as a shoe.
Step 4
Use the eraser to remove any unnecessary lines. Sharpen the outline of the elephant. In the picture, you can add additional elements, make a background. Color the elephant with watercolors, gouache or pencils. Choose the color of the animal to your taste. It can be gray, blue or pink.
