A variety of characters are often found in children's drawings: both mom and dad, and different animals - beloved pets and heroes of fairy tales and cartoons. In this way, children learn about the world around them and learn to remember and distinguish everything they see. Therefore, you can practice with them and draw a baby elephant.
It is necessary
- - White paper;
- - sharpened simple pencil;
- - eraser, ruler;
- - pencils, paints or markers.
Instructions
Step 1
First, draw two circles - one large (for the torso) and the other slightly smaller and higher (for the head). But it must overlap with the first. The body circumference can be made oval. If you can't draw straight the first time, use an eraser and try again. Auxiliary lines can also help you. Take a ruler and draw a vertical and a horizontal line where you want each circle to be.
Step 2
Draw two wavy lines along the sides of the head circumference. From these lines, continue to draw the large, rounded ears of the baby elephant. After that, you can paint on any shape of the ears, or leave it that way. They should hang freely, like a real elephant, so they can be made a little wavy from below.
Step 3
Erase the lower part of the circle for the torso (less than half) and smoothly connect with a straight line. This is necessary in order to draw a baby elephant in a sitting position. Next, draw two small circles on the sides of the body, stepping back a little to the sides (these are the future feet of the hind legs). Connect these circles with smooth lines to the body, depicting bent hind legs.
Step 4
Draw the front legs of the baby elephant. They should be lowered with their feet down and away from the lower torso. You can also use circles when drawing. Draw toes on all four legs. From the bottom of the head, draw down two curved lines - this is the trunk of the elephant. Correct its shape and erase all unnecessary lines from the drawing. Leave only vertical and horizontal within the head circumference.
Step 5
Just below the horizontal line, mark the places where the eyes will be. You can draw the eyes themselves either in the form of two bold dots or draw ordinary round eyes and a pupil. On the side of the body, draw a thin, short tail with a small tassel at the end. Erase all unnecessary details from the drawing with an eraser and correct if necessary. Now you can color in the drawing. Your child can already cope with this on his own.
