Initially, the frill collar was a part of a man's shirt, but almost immediately it was borrowed by women. It is also called a tie collar. You can sew a detachable frill collar, which can be used to decorate both a strict dress and even a regular checkered shirt, which will make it more romantic.
It is necessary
- - thin soft felt
- -buttons
- -2 pin clasps
- -sewing machine
Instructions
Step 1
First, cut out a snail-like collar pattern. If you want the collar to turn out to be more fluffy, then make a larger pattern. Fold the fabric in half with the right side inward and cut two collar details. We stretch them a little by pulling the sharp ends.
Step 2
Sew both parts folded face to face to each other along the inner edge. We open the frill, iron the seam with an iron. We sew in the center of the front side of the collar straight along the seam on a typewriter with a zig-zag seam so that the collar keeps its shape better.
Step 3
We decorate the collar with beautiful buttons. On the reverse side we sew pin fasteners, one on top, the other on the bottom.
