Despite the fact that electronic albums on social networks are inevitably replacing ordinary photo albums, viewing vacation photos, turning beautiful pages, is still much more enjoyable. There is a whole art of decorating home albums, and it is called scrapbooking. Everyone can master its basics.

Step 1
Find the photos that you are going to design. Sort them by theme, color scheme, and any other criteria. Don't take too many photos for the album - one or two per page is enough.
Step 2
Decide in what style you are going to make the album. There are several basic styles in scrapbooking - vintage, European, American, mixed, heritage. Each of these styles has its own distinctive features, each requires its own materials. Choose the style that appeals to you the most, and stock up on tools and supplies.
Step 3
Make sure you have everything you need to create the album. You can make an album from scrap materials, or you can purchase special materials - paper, paints, stamps, decorative elements, etc. The only thing that you need in any case is the album itself, or rather, the preparation for it. Usually these are several pages made of thick cardboard, fastened with metal rings. Handy materials for decoration can be found everywhere - these are old postcards, and beads, and beautiful ribbons, small souvenirs, beautiful carved napkins, etc.
Step 4
Think over the composition of future pages. Lay out photos and decorative elements on the pages of the album without glueing them. Think about how they would look better, try a few different options. After that, all the elements can be glued. It is best to use a hot glue gun, but glue stick will work as well. Try not to use silicate glue and PVA glue - the paper from them will collect in folds. You can also insert photos into special slots or corners so that you can get them later. Now you can show the album to family and friends and be proud that it was made with your own hands according to your taste, and not bought in a store.
