An open-air cinema is a relatively new idea for Russia, which was borrowed from Europe and the United States. Residents of Moscow were the first to start exploring the new kind of film industry.
As a rule, such cinemas are intended for motorists who can watch the show without leaving the car. In particular, we are talking about the mobile cinema "Kinoparking", which is mobile and each time shows the sessions in a new place. It only runs from July to October, and the screening usually starts at 10 pm and lasts about 4-5 hours, since usually no more than three films are shown. The ticket price is about 400 rubles per car, and a mobile cafe is also at your disposal. You can learn more about the upcoming Kinoparking sessions and its location on the website - Kinoparking.ru. Another option for motorists is the Borodino cinema, located in Mytishchi at Ostashkovskoe shosse, 59. It works regardless of the season, daily shows start at 23:00 and 01:00 Moscow time, the ticket price is 450 rubles. This cinema has only 30 seats, so it is best to arrive 30-35 minutes before the show. Even if you don't own a car, you can also go to an open-air cinema. One of them will operate on Andreevskaya Embankment nearby from July to August. Only auteur films are shown here, so action movie fans are unlikely to like it here. Admission to the cinema is free, but the number of seats is limited - there are only 70 of them. Screenings are usually held from 22:00 every Friday and Saturday. There is another open-air cinema on Bersenevskaya Embankment, 14, and it is located in the courtyard of the Strelka Institute. It is open from June to mid September and shows daily from 22:00 to midnight. This cinema has about a thousand seats, so you can always come here and be sure that there will be enough seats for everyone. The entrance ticket is 300 rubles.
