Weekends are the best way to spend time with the whole family. In one day, you can do a lot of interesting things together: take a walk in the park, go on an excursion, play board or outdoor games, and watch a movie in the evening. For family viewing, films about animals that are interesting to both children and adults are considered the best option.
Quite often, films are made about pets, which teach devotion, loyalty and love. A popular character in such films is the most faithful animal - a dog. The painting "Hachi: A Dog's Tale" (2008) about an adult man who found a puppy has conquered and continues to conquer the hearts of millions of viewers. A monument was erected to the devoted dog, who was waiting for the owner at the railway station every day even after his death, and the problems touched upon in the film are always relevant and understandable to everyone.
This story actually took place in Japan, and it was there that the first film about the wonderful dog, The Story of Hachiko (Hachikô monogatari, 1987), was filmed.
They shoot about wonderful pets and comedy films. One such amusing example is Beethoven (1992). The picture tells not about a famous composer, but about a small St. Bernard puppy named after him. A little later, the puppy grew into a huge dog and began to bring a lot of problems to the family that took him in. It is impossible not to fall in love with Beethoven, because he not only interfered with the owners, but also often saved, and now it's time to help the dog.
Similar emotions are evoked by the film Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey, 1993. The story of two dogs and a cat returning to their owners can amuse and touch at the same time.
Piglets can also become heroes of films, as, for example, in the movie "Babe: the four-legged baby" (Babe, 1995). The picture tells the story of a whole farm, and the heroes here are not only Babe the pig, but also sheep, dogs, cows and other animals. The pig, which is being prepared to decorate the Christmas table, tries to prove to the owner that he is good for more. The adventures of animals are amusing, and their ability to secretly communicate in human language is touching.
Cinema has not forgotten wild animals either. For example, the film "Girl and Fox" (Le renard et l'enfant, 2007) presents the story of an amazing friendship between a red-haired girl and a red fox. The secrets of the wild nature revealed in the picture will be of interest to both children and adults.
The film Free Willy (1993), where the main character is the killer whale, Willy, will tell about help and compassion for animals. He was caught and separated from his family, sent to an amusement park. Stubborn Willie longs for freedom, and difficult teenager Jesse will help him in this. A similar story unfolds in the movie "Flipper" (Flipper, 1996), only here the boy helps a dolphin named Flipper. And the painting "The Story of a Dolphin" (Dolphin Tale, 2011) shows the incredible and touching life of Winter's dolphin, for which people have made a prosthetic tail and returned the possibility of normal existence.
With older children, you can watch a more serious movie, which, unfortunately, does not always have a positive ending. For example, the film "Marley & Me" (Marley & Me, 2008) shows a lot of funny and positive moments in the life of a young family who bought a dog, but the lyrical motives prevent the picture from becoming a comedy. The Russian tape "White Bim Black Ear" (1976) also tells not only about bright feelings, but also betrayal, pain and meanness of man in relation to our smaller brothers.
Another popular family painting is "White Captivity" (Eight Below, 2005). It tells about dogs in Antarctica, which for some reason were left there completely alone and were forced to fight for survival. After such films, children learn kindness, and adults believe that everything is not lost in the world, since there are people who love and save animals.
The movie Two Brothers (Deux frères, 2004) tells about kindness, loyalty and devotion, which proves that animals are sometimes much better than people. The picture tells the story of two tiger cubs, who were separated in childhood. Already two adult fighting tiger-brothers, who grew up in completely different conditions, meet in the arena. And then events do not develop according to the scenario that was assumed by cruel people.
Another world-famous story about a man and a tiger is shown in the film Life of Pi (2012). The son of the owner of the zoo after a shipwreck is left alone with a Bengal tiger in the open ocean. The stunning footage fascinates the youngest and already adult viewers of the tape.
The tough and often bloody interaction between humans and wildlife is illustrated in The Bear (L'ours, 1988). Shown here is the story of a motherless little bear who meets a wounded adult bear. Initially, the tension between them is great, but when you need to escape from the hunters together, the relationship changes. There are quite a few bloody and cruel scenes in the cinema, but this gives a better understanding that there is still a place for love, compassion and humanity on earth.
