It is impossible to get full-fledged 3D at home, but it is realistic to achieve an impressive illusion.
In this case, it turns out not real 3D, but the so-called anaglyph. It displays a separate picture for the left and right eyes in its own color - blue and red. And glasses are needed here the simplest, home - with multi-colored glasses.
For a more complete experience of true 3D, something more serious is required. Either a dedicated monitor that supports the appropriate mode, or the best option is to purchase a 3D TV. And the important thing here is how much you are willing to invest.
For example, 3D can be divided into active and passive. In the first case, it is also called the "shutter method". It is based on human physiology. People have a kind of inertia of vision, which is used in showing TV films. Images are shown alternately for the left and right eyes. Here you need complex glasses with their own power supply and shutters.
The advantage of the method is obvious - a full HD image for each eye. However, when displaying a picture, its brightness is lost, there may be crosstalk or increased eye fatigue. And such glasses are expensive.
Passive 3D is a polarization method in which a picture for both eyes is present on the screen at once. With the help of special filters, the "extraneous" image is removed. That is, one video stream essentially contains 2 pictures for each eye. With this method, the eyes do not get tired longer, glasses are cheaper, but the picture resolution is noticeably worse.
Is it worth buying a 3D TV
Many people after watching the famous movie "Avatar" decided that it was time to purchase a 3D TV. However, after a few experiments with the newfangled function, they no longer turn to it. This happened due to the fact that a person from the TV most often wants just relaxation and entertainment.
