You can sew an original and useful keychain with your own hands very easily. Here is one of the options for a keychain, which will not only be convenient, but also make it possible to use small scraps of fabric left over from other creativity.

: a few scraps of fabric, which remained, for example, from sewing a children's shirt, women's dress, bed linen, colored thread, scissors, pins, a sewing machine, a burdock clasp, decorative elements (bright buttons, beads, stripes - optional and taste).

Before describing the main stages of working on a craft, I want to note that such a keychain can be used for different purposes. For example, to wrap a key in it if you carry it in your cell phone pocket. Another possibility is to attach the necessary trifle to the key ring with it (example in the photo below is hygienic lipstick). That is why, before you sew, you need to independently determine what tasks this keychain will perform. The dimensions of the finished product depend on this decision.

1. Cut out two large rectangles (detail A) for the main part of the keychain and a narrow one (about 5-7 cm by 2 cm) for the suspension (detail B). Cut the third large rectangle (detail A) from thick fabric (jeans, thick felt). Please note that all the details, except for the last one, must be cut taking into account the seam allowance (about 0.5 cm).

2. Fold along the narrow rectangle (part B) right side out, tuck the edges and sew the suspension strip. Fold the resulting strip in half and secure the edges by connecting the blue dots (see the diagram in step 1).

3. Fold the two large rectangles right side in and sew them on three sides. Turn out the resulting "pocket" and insert a rectangle of thick fabric into it. Tuck the edges, cleave and sew the fourth side of the rectangle, having previously inserted the detail obtained in step 2 between the layers of fabric.

4. Approximately 0.5 cm away from the edge, sew a straight stitch along the edge to secure all the pieces together.

5. Sew the Velcro to the keychain. The sewing places are indicated by rectangles in the photo below. Blue - we sew a part of the fastener with microhooks from the seamy side, red - from the front side of the keychain the counterpart of the fastener.

6. Sew on a button of the original shape or a bead, something else, to decorate the resulting keychain. The craft is ready!
