It is very convenient to carry out household chores in an apron dress, to tinker in the garden. The main clothing will remain clean. A large front pocket allows you to store your little things.
Making a pattern
A comfortable home dress is easy to sew, not even the name of a magazine pattern. You can do it yourself. To do this, you need to make the necessary measurements of your figure.
There are few of them: the volume of the hips, head and the desired length of the product. Divide the hips in half and add to the resulting figure for:
- 42-48 sizes - 10 cm;
- 50-56 - 15 cm;
- from 56 and above - 20 cm.
The final figure is the apron width.
If there is no purpose to make a side scent, then you do not need to add additional centimeters to the side parts of the pattern. Then, under such an apron, you will need to put on a T-shirt, trousers or a skirt.
Now place the measuring tape over the point of the shoulder (point A) where it joins the neck and lower it to the desired length. Maybe you want this home sundress to be flirty - short or knee length. Longer is usually not done.
Now you need to measure the length of the back of the product, since this apron will look like a dress, then it also needs a back. The beginning of the centimeter tape is placed on the same cervical point, and its end is lowered to the same length as when measuring the front of the product.
Next, a rectangle is drawn on the tracing paper. Its width is already known (the calculation is above). The length of the rectangle is the folded figures of the length of the front and back of the body.
Mark two points A on the pattern (to the right and left of the neck). A circle will pass through them. This is the hole for the head. The product is put on through it.
Calculate the diameter of the circle that will be the cutout for the head using the school formula. Divide the volume of the head by the number "pi" (3, 14), and you get the desired number.
For a summer outfit to dress easily, add 3-5 cm to the resulting figure (depending on size). The cutout is smaller at the back, so this circle should be moved more towards the front.
We sew
The paper base is ready. Now you can cut out the original apron on the fabric. Place the pattern on the fabric and pin to it. Trace it along the pattern from the inside out with a simple pencil or chalk.
Cut the fabric with scissors along the outlined lines, leaving 1-1.5 cm seam allowances, and 0.8 cm on the neckline. Attach the pattern of the lower front to the fabric again and mark the pocket. It is also cut out. Now fold the seam pocket with the right side of the bottom of the front. Sew these 2 pieces together.
If you want to walk in such a dress in the summer at the dacha, having arranged an exit to the garden, then you can not make shoulders on the dress, but sew on these places on each side 2 straps in the shape of a cross. Get a sundress for the summer.
At the edges, the product is processed with an oblique inlay. You can only arrange the neck in this way, and the rest were sewn on the seamy side. Sew 4 ties at the waistline - 2 on the front and 2 on the back of the sundress. Do-it-yourself apron dress is ready.
