Step 1
Pick up the fabric. Reversible knitwear of good quality is best suited for sewing a transforming dress. It should not be too dense or thin. The edges should not unravel easily. When choosing a fabric, do a simple test. Pull the sample, if arrows stretch from the cut, such a fabric will not work.
Step 2
Build a dress pattern. If you are unsure of your tailoring skills, make a paper pattern. It can be used several times, because you probably want to make more than one copy of this wonderful dress. The pattern is simple enough. It is a square with rounded edges, in the middle of which there are holes for the armholes. And the belt is 130 cm long (the width depends on your desire).
Step 3
Attach the pattern to the wrong side of the fabric, pin the pattern with tailor's needles and cut along the contours, leaving no allowances for the seams. Overlock all slices. If the jersey is very tight and the cuts do not stretch, you do not need to process them. The transforming dress is ready.
