People began to record music sounded on the radio for personal purposes long before the advent of personal computers. But these days, you can use a computer for this. This is very convenient, especially in the absence of fast Internet access.

Step 1
Make a cord to connect the radio to the sound card input of your computer. Its circuit depends on which connector the receiver is equipped with. Apply the signal through a capacitor with a capacity of about 0.1 microfarad. Note that most inexpensive sound cards have only one input - the microphone input. It is almost always monaural. If so, feed it the signal of only one stereo channel, and in the plug connect the middle contact to the common one. On the receiver, if it is stereo, turn on mono.
Step 2
Low frequency receivers can pick up computer noise. They can be significantly reduced by using a netbook. A more radical way is to use a digital voice recorder with an external microphone input together with a computer. Alternatively, you can position the receiver a few meters from the vehicle and use a long cable microphone for electrical isolation. But he will also perceive extraneous noises.
Step 3
If you intend to use a personal computer for recording, install an audio editor program such as Audacity on it. With its help, carry out not only recording, but also editing, processing (for example, noise reduction). If the signal from the microphone input is not picked up by the computer, check if this input is turned off in the mixer.
Step 4
When using the IC recorder for recording, then transfer the files from it to the computer in a way convenient for you (cable, card reader if you have a removable memory card). Then, if necessary, process the records with the same program.
Step 5
According to article 1273 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, the records made can be freely copied within the family, for example, recorded in the memory of the players that you and your family members carry with you. But they cannot be transferred to neighbors, friends, colleagues, and even more so - to upload them to the Internet without the permission of authors, performers and other copyright holders.
