Step 1
In order for the base to become a hat, it is necessary to process the seamy side in one of the ways.

Step 2
The binding can be made of fabric or synam. If there is no finished one, we cut it out ourselves.
We fold the canvas obliquely. From the fold line we measure the width of 6 cm. Cut off the double canvas
Step 3
Fold the tape lengthwise again so that the folded side is 1.5 centimeters.
Step 4
Fold the tape in half lengthwise again. Now both sides are "clean" and the cuts are hidden. Ironing with a warm iron with low steam. The bias binding is ready.
Step 5
We trim (sew) the edge of the cut, sewing the inlay with a needle-forward seam with small stitches: from the front side a 1 mm stitch, from the back side 0.5 mm. Before reaching the end of the inlay, we stop, bend the tip inward by 2-3 cm, overlap the beginning of the inlay, sew it to the fold, and also sew the fold line. Thus, we connect the edging.
Step 6
Sew on the mount. Cut off a hat elastic 35-37 cm long. Tie strong knots at the ends. Sew the elastic for the knots on the seamy side of the cap symmetrically. For the greatest strength, we fix it with PVA glue or Moment
Step 7
To protect against "prickly" synamis, for beauty and style, we sew a rep ribbon over the edging and hat elastic, having previously thrown it on the front side, with a needle-forward seam with small stitches, the front side of the seam is 1mm, the back side is 0.5 mm.
Before reaching the end of the tape, we stop, bend the tip inward by 2-3 cm, cover the beginning of the tape with an overlap, sew it to the fold, and also sew the fold line.
Step 8
Sew a comb on the back half of the hat on the seamy side. The teeth should "look" in the middle, and its convex side overlaps the cap. The comb is necessary so that the cap does not "slip" over the eyes.
